Is Peace Island Coming to PS4 and Xbox One?

The intriguing title, Peace Island, has made its rounds through Kickstarter with intentions of a PC release. But will Peace Island PS4 and Peace Island Xbox One actually happen?

The story sees Elizabeth, the feline star of Peace Island, on her way to the vet for a checkup. After waking up, she finds the gate of her cage open, but her human’s apartment is strangely empty. With the front door wide open and other cat sounds outside, Elizabeth responds how she will.

Gameplay itself looks to focus more on exploration rather than doing any actual fighting. As described on Kickstarter:

Peace Island is an interactive story-driven experience which will focus on discovery and exploration, rather than combat. The player has the opportunity to experience multiple divergent storylines, as they approach the ultimate decision: “Are the humans worth bringing back?”

The listing also details the kind of exploration you will have with Peace Island. You will explore the Maine countryside in an alternate history anchored in over the last 200 years. More specifically, the game will offer up four different communities, woodlands, coastlines, farmlands, and World War 2 ruins, with promises of more to come.

Is Peace Island PS4 Version Coming?

As of publication, no official statement has come regarding a PS4 release. One point to consider is that the game is still in development. With such a small team, Blumrich looks to focus on PC with the release. Though the Kickstarter reached its required funding (in under 20 hours, I might add), you still can show your support over at Eric Blumrich’s Patreon.

We hope that the future holds a Peace Island PS4 release somewhere down the line. Really, though, who woudn’t want to run around the beautiful Maine landscape as a cat?
